I dont know when this happened but once seen I can unsee it now. Women are now literally "Painting Outside the Lines" with their makeup. Specifically lip color and couture. In general facial lips have a "Cupid Bow" shape on the upper lip. This Cupids Bow generally follows the shape of the philtrum. The philtrum is the two raised lines that descend from the nasal folds of the nose above the lip. (I think that is how you describe the philtrum Anatomy of lips) It seems that women are now painting out side the Vermilion border in an attempt at making their lips look fuller and plumper. Ala Angelina Jolie.
I mention this because a woman Youtuber has particularly lovely lips. But she applies lip color (lip stick) and covers over the vermilion border that follow the philtrum couture.
