    On the decline of the once great city of San Francisco.

When I was young (1965) five years old my mother used to take my friends and I to Ghirardelli Square and Golden Gate park in San Francisco and LEAVE us there while she went and did grocery shopping on the then naval installation commissary on Treasure Island. She would leave us there in the morning at say 9:00 am and return at say 3:00 pm. Neither she nor my friends families gave this even a first, second or third thought nor were any fucks gigen. There was obviously no thought of kidnapping for sale to sex-slavers. There was no thought murder, there was no thought of introduction to horrible drug experience either just visually or by actual force. She would take us on field-trips to the Height-Ashbury district, Golden Gate Park, the Japanese Tea Garden, (I loved the novelty of the super high humpy foot bridge) the Exploritorium, The Botanical Gardens, and to the Berkley Modern Art Museum. I loved the Giant Carousel horse ride in Golden Gate Park. I used to love watching the model boat people sailing in the Big Pond. I used to love the Antique Bicycle shop there I, my self, would no more consider taking my child to any of these locations now than I would introducing my child to the drug fentanyl. But, now I imaging that if I did take my child to any of these locations I would in fact be introducing them to fentanyl. 

    I haven't been to San Francisco recently but I do hear about major department stores leaving. It seems that the once glorious Union Square is no more Glorious than Skid Row. 

    Some 30 years ago I used to take my daughter and friends to San Francisco. We would go to Union  Square, Ghirardelli Square, FAO Schwartz, the Pier 39 district. We would ride Cal-Train into The City walk to Powell street Cable Car turn-around and ride around all day long with no worries at all. I don't know if, in hind sight, I was just plain stupid doing that, blinded by the reliving of my youth in those trips. None of the adults concerned were concerned so... I did feel totally safe on those trips.

    I will say this though, I was brought up short once in a conversation with a woman friend-co-worker when I told her of a shorty trip to "The City". She was suddenly and visibly very concerned for my safety. That was the first time I had cause to consider the difference between male and female world view with regard to safety. It never occurred to me that The City was an unsafe environment for women. Apparently it was and by extension still is and to an even greater degree to be sure. That is very telling and a great shame.

    I cant speak to the decline of The City from personal experience but just like reading about fentanyl I can understand that it is very bad. Similarly I can, by reading about all the "wackiness" of The City, understand that The City is no longer a Great City. 

    Unfortunately, it seems the same can be said about many once Great Cities in  America. New York, Chicago, Baltimore and so many others. It is so sad to contemplate this decline in what were once Great American Cities. Once great cities laid low by liberal left-wing politics.

    As a quicky footnote I will add that I have been looking at a selection of what I assume are recent pictures of some of these locations and they do not appear to have suffered much of the decline that I am describing. I will hope and assume that the decline is primarily limited to the down town areas and the halls of policy, which is nice.

My stuff - Want vs. Need

There is often a great gap between that which I/we want and that which I/we need.

Lately I have been getting a much tighter grip on the need want conundrum. Living only on debit cards will do that for a person. Donating Plasma and driving Uber helps as well.

Random thoughts - Society

    The suffix ...ist is an odd thing. In many cases it added to your profession make you good at it. I am a Machinist. when you study to be good at something they add ist to your work. If you study Guitar you are a guitarist, the flute a flutist, after many years in school and you can be a psychologist.

    However when you ad ...ist to race you are a raciest, or to sex you are a sexist. These to are practicality a death sentence in today's politically correctness driven society. Not to say that there is any thing even remotely okay about being a raciest or a sexist but where is the difference coming from?

    I don't believe that I am a racist. I do not believe that because I am a White Male in America that I am somehow better in any measurable way, or in any way at all than a Black person or a Chinese person or a Mexican person... I believe that I am a "Culture-ist". I find a Culture that lives and dies on its vicim-hood-status to be reprehensible. There are some VERY Crazy ideas being put forward these days surrounding Racism. It seems that the notion of Three meals a day is racist, and the craziest thing that I believe I have EVER heard mathematics is racist. I have watched the You-tube videos that propose these notions many times, I still can not understand the rational behind these claims. There is also a ground swell movement gaining traction where by black persons in America at present are due reparations for the Colonial era slavery that existed in America some 200 years ago. Oddly enough, one of the persons pushing this idea, a Sunny Hostin, co-host on the much maligned day-time talk show, found out that in her ancestors history there are in fact slave "OWNERS". How does she propose to square receiving reparations for colonial era slavery that she feels has somehow caused her some economic harm if she have slave owners in your genealogical past? Will this involve some high level "Racist" Newer Math that will be able to make a full accounting of this? The unfortunate truth is that the city of San Francisco is actually considering a plan that will allocate 5 MILLION Dollars per black person. San Francisco can't even afford to clean shit (actual shit, human fesses, shit) off of its streets. The City recently hosted some big deal APEC Summit meeting nations from around the GLOBE were in attendance. And  the city had actually taken the time and expence to map out where the shit (fesses) was located in the city so that clean up crews could go out and clean it up. Map it out? San Francisco recently, I say recently it took some many years to make this happen, built a public restroom. The city spent 1.7 Million Dollars on a 150 square foot public restroom. Permits to get permits and one environmental and I assume utility impact study after another. Un-fucking-believable! I used to dream of living in San Francisco. Now I cant even dredge up the desire to visit.

    While we are talking about suffixes "-phobic" is everywhere. Speak out about any of the LGBTQrstuvwxyz... and you are a "Homo-phobe, a Fat-phobe a Trans-phobe and the list is growing moment by moment it seems. The suffix phobe is used when a person has an irrational fear of what ever you have stapled the suffix to. 

    I do not have a fear of rational or otherwise of Gay men, Lesbian women not even in the slightest. I do however have a very serious problem with "Pride Month". There used to be Pride parades and festivals but now there is an entire month dedicated to Gay Pride. I say Gay Pride because I believe that Gay is a blanket term that can be used to cover the whole of the LGBTQrstuvwxyz...crowd. I could be wrong. As much as everything is in a constant state of flux one can never be sure anymore. So no I am, not a Homo-phobe. 

    I do not have a fear of Trans individuals. I do however have a very serious issue with trans men/women its so difficult to know what is what now insinuating themselves into women's spaces. The most egregious example of this trend is, at least to me, when men self identify as women and weasel their way into women's sports and women's personals spaces. Sports that's pretty simple. If a genetically born male wakes up one day and declares himself to be a female and starts participating in women's sporting events. There has been a TIDAL wave of this happening recently. Everything; swimming, bicycling, weightlifting, virtually any sport that used to be declared a "Woman's" ( by Title 9) event has been infiltrated be trans-men. The most famous example is the Will/Lea Thomas sued his way into the Women's NCAA swimming team in the University of Pennsylvania. He "killed the competition. Crushed every record. Not by fractions of a second either not by portions of a body length Full seconds and Full body lengths. He stole records, titles and most importantly Scholarships. He stole them from deserving young women. 

    By personal spaces I mean changing/locker rooms restrooms. Again with the Will Thomas example he is/was a 6'4" fully genitally fully intact male, he was allowed to use the women's locker room. A locker/changing room where in  women are entitled to privacy, safety and dignity. The moment that U Penn NCAA people made the decision to allow Will Thomas to participate on the women's swim team and to allow him to use the woman's locker room they completely stripped the women on the U Penn swim team of all of the privacy, safety and dignity implied by the "Woman's Locker/changing room". And they facilitated the theft of  records, titles and scholarships. I find this morally ethically heinous and atrocious. I would use more vitriolic words here but it's late and I can't dredge them up right now.

    This sort of "DEI" is creeping all across the country and world. The alter of inclusion is blood stained in "Gyms" all across the country. Planet Fitness has "Bent the knee" to this alter. They allow any male self identifying as female to use the women's locker room. YMCA gyms have also bent their knee. Fast food restaurant's city parks are experiencing issues with men using the women's restrooms.

Random Thoughts - Politics

    I mentioned some time ago that I don't like Obama very much. I will start enumerating the reasons...

    Recently he made the suggestion that soldiers in our army pay for war injuries them selves or with their own insurance. IS he for real? What insurance company is going to insure a soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan? Heck even in Texas where that Muslim nutcase shot up the place and 13 soldiers DIED.

    Many people knew about him and his leanings but they were too "tolerant" to say any thing. Can call him out because he is a minority and a muslim and that is racism and religious intolerance and we will not stand for that here in America. We will let people die first... but I digress.

    Obama wants soldiers to pay for their war injuries them selves but he will, by hook or by crook, cram a new National Medical Health Care Plan down the rest of the countries throat.

Voting

As you have no doubt heard there is an election coming up, again.

I am just not sure how to vote.
If i vote for the corrupt incumbents we get screwed yet again.
If I vote for the newbies full of idealism and vigor the corrupt incumbents will corrupt them and stonewall their every effort to do any good for "We the people".

And if we did manage to sweep all the incumbents out and replace them with well intention-ed new wave of government screws they would soon be corrupted by the corporate screws looking to maintain the status quo. And it they managed to avoid that trap and did managed to pass positive legislation that would benefit "We the people" activist Judges would shoot it down by saying the tried and true "I find that to be unconstitutional" and out it goes. There should be a damn program called "Constitution Check" like a Spell check that makes sure that you don't waste so darn much time and money writing stupid laws that are simply going to be erased by a single judge no mater how many people vote for the law a single judge can with the stroke of a pen wipe it away. What ever happened to the "Will of the people"? Just one Judge can come along and "Interpret" the constitution his way and make that call and totally disregard the People. And he is not even elected. There is NO recourse for "We the People". That is sort of like the "artists concept" disclaimer.

So if I sound a bit disillusioned I am, Very. I think that is what they want, to make it so complicated and disheartening that no one will give a rats ass and they can continue to rape and pillage "We the people".

This year is a watershed year for elections. On one hand we are saddled with a doddering senile old dictator who is well known to be corrupt but is protected by a "cabal" a cadre of powerful, influential intractable, greed driven, warmongering, cant say no to any crazy idea that pops its head up from the cesspool of society that is America today. His closest adviser is his son. A former crack smoking drug-addicted weirdo.

This doddering old dictator excuse me doddering old pants shitting dictator. Shitting his pants at the Vatican. Are you SHITTING me? Pun absolutely intended. It boggles the mind as to who among us can keep making excuse after excuse for these failings in a WORLD leader.  His total and absolute lack of ability to string together a sentence during a press conference, an interview or a debate gives me pause to wonder just how badly he is representing AMERICA, arguably the most powerful nation on the planet, behind closed doors. It also begs the question, who is propping up his decisions? Who is making "his" decisions? Who is making the decisions that are behind his press conferences? Who are the puppet masters? And, finally, it begs the question when he does appear  to be sentient, lucid, awake, aware of his surroundings, sensible, well considered, ALL the things a World Leader should exhibit, during the occasional spasm of lucidity, just how much of the Adrenaline, Epinephrine, Nor-epinephrine, Meth Amphetamine, Adderall and Ritalin cocktail do his handlers have to dose him with? His blood "cocktail" percentage must be about 50/50. and this likely explains why he has to be forcibly led off stage when after his surge of lucidity brought about by this "cocktail" wares off and his mind crashes. It causes me to wonder who's cocaine was found in the White House. And how was that incident made to disappear so quickly and completely? If that was ANY other president the TRUTH would have been found out. and exposed. Even if only to hang the guilt on some junior staffer, who's drug addled past/present would be ficitfied and fabricated so deeply and completely and convincingly that even the staffer would believe in his guilt. (Read; 1984 Rat in a face cage scenario)  It is WAY to coincidental that Hunter, an known addict and wandering the halls of the White House was not Heavily investigated. Blood samples taken, blood toxicity panels performed and those results made public.

It boggles my mind just how much power the Obamas and the Clinton's still hold in the oval office. I recently heard that Hillary talks on the phone to the white House DAILY.

What was the phrase made famous by "Deep Throat" in the now long forgotten Woodward and Bernstein's outing of President Nixon. "Follow the Money". Where ever there is money there is power and where there is power there is corruption.
