I am going to keep BANGING ON about the paris olympics here. ((I guess I will be done now banging on about the olympics nowbecause it is over now.)) And yes in am intentionally not capitalizing both paris and olympic and its different sentence structure variants and anything to do with olympic. Just my little way to protest their total disregard for reality and in this instance sportsmanship. I will continue in this vein, not capitalizing words or names that I find contemptible. Similarly I will be striking through those words that I find offensive. And in that same vein I will be capitalizing and underscoring words that I feel do deserve respect.

I am now hearing that the ioc is hiding behind the passport gender identifier box tick [F] as the gold standard of a (in this instance) boxer's biological sex for their qualification to be in the women's (female) boxing matches. 

It seems to me that if countries would try to sneak a "doped" athlete into the olympic games by using fancy high-level chemistry sets and whatever else is involved with "doping" why wouldn't they just tick the gender [ ] box on a passport with [F] for a male athlete so the newly minted "female" athlete could "bring home the gold" while sending their competition home in a coma. (particularly in the combat sports) I can not imagine the courage took for the Italian Woman Boxer to stand up for herself in front of the World and to call the fight. She knew what was happening to herself and knew enough to not go home in a body bag. I have so much respect for her. I personally think the Italian Woman Boxer should have thrown off the now bullshit olympic boxing rules because the ioc threw off the rules first, and sucker punched the absolute compound living FUCK out of that algerian sheethead when he ever so condescendingly approached the Italian Woman Boxer and patted the Italian Woman boxer on her back with the immortal words of Sheldon Cooper "There there" probably ringing in her ears . ((Incoming update alert It seems that the Italian Woman Boxer has had a change of heart and reconsidered her position on not shaking the algerian shithead's hand after the "fight". Italy probably was informed that ISIS had threatened some terrorist rioting shit. Italy probably received a strongly worded letter from the mayor of paris, the president france, the ioc and ISIS.)) That was not an olympic style points fight That was a man brutalizing a Woman. Again, I think the Italian Woman Boxer should have gone totally berserker mode and I that mean in the truest of ways. The METH crazed ways, PCP crazed ways, Bath Salt crazed ways (Synthetic cathinones what ever the fuck those/that is/are) Total RAGE Berserker action. Empty the dugouts action, refs and security grabbing at her action, carrying her swinging, cursing and spitting action, Fight club action, "dogs and cats living together" (Ghost busters reference) action, Return Home a National Hero action! She probably would have been thrown ALL the way out of paris and france and boxing for for that matter for"Unsportsmanlike" behavior but in the immortal words of Dead Pool "Worth it".

Algeria does not the money for the big-deal high-level super-secretive doping projects like the Russian or the Chinese do. But a simple paper pushing hack and the male athlete now an [F] in the sex/gender box on his passport and Presto-e-chango, and the WOKE, DEI, feelings before science agenda driven ask no questions  ioc will turn a BLIND eye because of the feelings of country of origin of this freshly minted [F] athlete said so. Corruption alert. The ioc and the world used to be ever  SOOOooo very touchy about blood doping and Illegal performance enhancing substances. What about illegal performance enhancing genetics and chromosomes. Blood doping tests are simple blood tests administered to EVERY athlete. Why would they totally disregard a sex identifier test? Especially now that gender fluidity has gone mainstream. The one true gold standard test for the sex [M] or [F] is a chromosome test. Not based on the feelings of the athlete and not the feelings of the country of origin. Simple Biology.  Its not like they can mess around with this genetic marker specifically for the olympics. They have disqualified so many athletes for blood doping over the years. I hope now chromosomal genetic testing will become standard. But in the immortal words of Mark Twain "I hope it but I doubt it".

It seems to me that if the governing body regulating the world of boxing the, International Boxing Association, the IBA, have rules for this sort of thing. And did in fact disqualify this algerian athlete from competing in the women's category in the world championships for this very reason. Perhaps the ioc should take IBA rules a little more seriously. Not just dismiss them completely out of hand in favor of advancing the WOKE, DEI agenda. The IBA rules are in place of the actual physical safety of the boxers across the Globe, not the feelings of the boxers across the Globe. ((Incoming update alert. It seems that the IBA's ethics is now under intense scrutiny. Lack of financial transparency. Just like every other body of governance on the planet it seems. Go figure.))

The last time I can remember that there was this much DRAMA involving the olympics was the 72 Munich olympics. And ISIS, and their ilk, haven't even have the nerve to try that stunt again. I believe Mossad saw to that. ISIS et al sat by and let paris and the ioc do their work this time. (( Notice that I did capitalize ISIS because they stand up for their principals, as violent and deadly as they are.)) paris and the ioc are just slipery, slimy, unprincipled, greedy fucks. Yea I said it, FUCKS. No principals, no morals, no ethics, no common sense, no sense of right and wrong, no sense of fair play. No sense at all. I thought the whole idea of the olympics was fair play. A level playing field especially in the combative events. But I guess they don't feel that way anymore.

I know that each city takes the opportunity to put their "stamp" on the olympics held in their city. But WOW what a stamp. paris just stomped down on the throat of good taste with this olympiad. And the ioc just showed themselves to be feckless, spinless, woke agenda pushers. This reminds me budlite debacle. I wonder if the mayor of paris is going to stand by the artistic director of this olympic spectacle or quietly fire them and the committee "they" rode in on. I say "they" not because I am being sensitive to their pronoun demands but because I just don't know who this person is. I cant imagine the global internet snooping that is befalling paris and the fucks that let this shit out of the minds (of the fucks who ate some suspect mushrooms in their vegan salads) and onto the drawing boards and then into committee meetings and then out of committee meetings and onto the televisions of the entire world. I really hope that the weapons grade investigation turns up the same level of depravity as was found out about that thomas fuck who had to sue his way on to the team. I mean every other city has had pride in their show. Japan, China, Brazil even Russia put on respectful shows. The opening ceremony is supposed to be a show for the entire world a proud statement about their city, their national heritage, their country and what was and is best in them. Oooooohhh wait just a minute "hole' up"...  I was going to say where is their pride. But then it slapped me in the face that the meaning of the word pride, like so many others lately,  has crept or migrated. (Watch this George Carling video for the true meaning of word creep) I don't know if pride day/month is celebrated the same in Europe or the rest of the world as it is in the USA but perhaps that is what we just saw. First we have pride parades, then we have pride month and now we have pride olympics.

Paris can call their mockery of ALL of things Christian satire or parody or hide it by calling it a live depiction of  "Feast of the Gods" painting supposedly similar to the "Last Supper" by Leonardo Da Vinci. Those paintings, in my opinion, are not nearly similar enough to make that claim. paris has always been a wild and crazy, free wheeling, artsy city so maybe they can hide their shame in that. But I don't think that even the city Amsterdam, a city world renown for being a wild and crazy drug addled Crazy Train Depot would have would have put on that show. 

So the olympics is over now. I am happy to say that I did NOT partake in the closing ceremonies. At the same time I feel a certain level of remorse for not watching those athletes that participated in these olympics. Most of them deserve to be seen and congratulated for that participation.

 Breasts. 

 

    As a member of the non-breast enabled persons gender I will never know the issues surrounding the "ownership" of breasts. Just as I assume that members of the breast enabled persons gender will never know what it is like inside the mind of a testosterone soaked mind.

    Some time in the not totally distant past I saw a YouTube in which a woman who transitioned to a man discusses the sudden difficulty of dealing with a mind that was very preoccupied by thoughts of a sexual nature. The constant analysis of women's forms. She/he (I will never be able to get that straight) discussed the loneliness of being suddenly male. Women seem to typically have a larger network of friends that they maintain on a regular basis. They keep in contact with each other just because they are called to by their nature. Men don't have this nature. men are motivated by the need to solve problems. As a result they don't stay in contact with their male friends unless there is a need, a problem to be solved or a question about a problem that needs to be solved. Which sort of explains why women tend to gravitate to professions that involve a network of individuals helping them. and men tend to gravitate to professions that require problem solving.

 How the HELLLL is break dancing in the olympics and Ballroom dance is NOT?!?!

Ballroom has a very LONG history. I believe that the Waltz has been around for some centuries. Break dancing has only been around for about 40 years.

But as I understand it being in the olympics has something to do with being an armature athlete. I get that. I applaud that. That is what the Olympics is supposed to be about. The Olympics is such a joke now. I don't think Lebron James is an amateur basketball player or any of the USA basketball team for that matter. But some how Ballroom dance is excluded on the basis of the amateur standing of the dancers. Some how I think this, along with So many other things that have caused the Olympics to be a sham and shameful on the world stage. Paris France went WAY out their way with the DEI. Not the least of which is the whole trans athletes Inclusion. A male boxer "fighting" pummeling a woman boxer. 46 seconds. There is NO way in the world that this is in keeping with the spirit of the Olympics. Not keeping with the actual true law. Not keeping to the chromosomal law of nature. Nor, for that matter is the USA basketball team in keeping with the spirit of the olympics. Some how every four years the professional players have their income sheltered to somehow to appear amateur. Not even Al Capone could hide from the IRS but some how Steph Curry can. What kind of turning a blind eye bullshit is this?

It is a true shame because there are so many true Amateur athletes who deserve to be in the Amateur olympics. Surely there are amateur basketball players who deserve to be at the olympics and on the world stage. But money truly rules the world and the olympics is no exception. Nothing, no nation, no government, no politician, no governing body of any kind nothing is immune to the power of money, corruption, scandal, bribery...  Love of money and all of that.

I recently heard several good-bad joke about the olympics; "Bronze, Silver, Gold what color will the Russian gymnastics team's urine be this year?" I imagine Russian athletes who don't score well wont be welcomed "home" but sent to some very remote and very cold Siberian gulag. Which calls to mind the other olympic joke This  joke is about the Chinese athletes, "Don't win, your social credit score will be erased as will your family but they will be literally and permanently erased, erased from all living memory. Right out of the IPhone factory. 

Its soooo sad which is why I will never watch the olympics again. Which is doubly sad for me because I have very fond memories driving across country with my father and catching the olympics in hotel rooms all along the way.  Memories of Olga Corbit going crazy on the balance beam and scoring the first perfect 10 and winning the hearts of everybody in the whole world, not a dry eye on the planet. Olga, with her crooked little smile and crooked (natural colored) teeth and goofy pig tailed hair. I recently saw a picture the USA women's gymnastics team. They all, every last one, had absolutely perfect dentition and every tooth was bleached beyond toilet bowl white, whiter than a white Dwarf Star white, positively luminescent, and their hair was also perfect, not a strand out of place even after their routines. Not a sweat mark on any of them. I wonder just how much Aquanet double-over-extra-super-high-hold-shellac or Flecto Vera-thane they had to use to make that happen. That also makes me wonder if that much shellac use could get a DOT or SNELL motorcycle helmet rating? And how does one sleep with glow in the dark teeth? That bright, are they warm to the touch?

So anyway no more shameful Olympic business for me. Sorry Peacock or who ever paid some exorbitant fee to have their advertisers plaster their logo's and commercials all over the front of my retinas.

 On the decline of the once great city of San Francisco.

When I was young (1965) five years old my mother used to take my friends and I to Ghirardelli Square and Golden Gate park in San Francisco and LEAVE us there while she went and did grocery shopping on the then naval installation commissary on Treasure Island. She would leave us there in the morning say 9:00 am and return at say 3:00 pm. Neither she nor my friends families gave this even a first, second or third thought. There was obviously no thought of kidnapping for sale to sex-slavers. There was no thought murder, there was no thought of introduction to horrible drug experience either just visually or by actual force. She would take us on field-trips to the Haight-Ashbury district, Golden Gate Park, the Japanese Tea Garden, (I loved the novelty of the super high humpy foot bridge) the Exploritorium, The Botanical Gardens, and to the Berkley Modern Art Museum. I loved the Giant Carousel horse ride in The Park. I used to love watching the model boat people sailing in the Big Pond.   I used to love the Antique Bicycle shop there I, my self, would no more consider taking my child to any of these locations now than I would introducing my child to the drug fentanyl. But, now I imaging that if I did take my child to any of these locations I would in fact be introducing them to fentanyl. 

I haven't been to San Francisco recently but I do hear about major department stores leaving. It seems that the once glorious Union Square is no more Glorious than Skid Row. 

Some 30 years ago I used to take my daughter and friends to San Francisco. We would go to Union  Square, Ghirardelli Square, FAO Schwarts, the Pier 39 district. We would ride Cal-Train into The City walk to Powell street Cable Car turn-around and ride around all day long with no worries at all. I don't know if, in hind sight, I was just plain stupid doing that, blinded by the reliving of my youth in those trips. None of the adults concerned were concerned so... I did feel totally safe on those trips.

I will say this though, I was brought up short once in a conversation with a woman friend-co-worker when I told her of a shorty trip to "The City". She was suddenly and visibly very concerned for my safety. That was the first time I had cause to consider the difference between male and female world view with regard to safety. It never occurred to me that The City was an unsafe environment for women. Apparently it was and by extension still is and to an even greater degree to be sure. That is very telling and a great shame.

I cant speak to the decline of The City from personal experience but just like reading about fentanyl I can understand that it is very bad. Similarly I can, by reading about all the "wackiness" of The City, understand that The City is no longer a Great City. 

Unfortunately, it seems the same can be said about many once Great Cities in  America. New York, Chicago, Baltimore and so many others. It is so sad to contemplate this decline in what were once Great American Cities. Once great cities laid low by liberal left-wing politics.

As a quicky footnote I will add that I have been looking at a selection of what I assume are recent pictures of some of these locations and they do not appear to have suffered much of the decline that I am describing. I will hope and assume that the decline is primarily limited to the down town areas and the halls of policy, which is nice.

want vs. need

There is often a great gap between that which I/we want and that which I/we need.

Lately I have been getting a much tighter grip on the need want conundrum. Living only on debit cards will do that for a person. Donating Plasma and driving Uber helps as well.

The suffix ...ist is an odd thing. In many cases it added to your profession make you good at it. I am a Machinist. when you study to be good at something they add ist to your work. If you study Guitar you are a guitarist, the flute a flutist, after many years in school and you can be a psychologist.

However when you ad ...ist to race you are a raciest, or to sex you are a sexist. These to are practicality a death sentence in today's politically correctness driven society. Not to say that there is any thing even remotely okay about being a raciest or a sexist but where is the difference coming from?

I don't believe that I am a racist. I believe that I am a "Culture-ist". I find a Culture that lives and dies on its vicim-hood to be reprehensible. There are some VERY Crazy ideas being put forward these days surrounding Racism. It seems that the notion of Three meals a day is racist, and the craziest thing that I believe I have EVER heard mathematics is racist. I have watched the You-tube videos that propose these notions many times, I still can not understand the rational behind these claims. There is also a ground swell movement gaining traction where by black persons in America at present are due reparations for the Colonial era slavery that existed in America some 200 years ago. Oddly enough, one of the persons pushing this idea, a Sunny Hostin, co-host on the much maligned day-time talk show, found out that in her ancestors history there are in fact slave "OWNERS". How does she propose to square receiving reparations for colonial era slavery that she feels has somehow caused her some economic harm if she have slave owners in your genealogical past? Will this involve some high level "Racist" Newer Math that will be able to make a full accounting of this? The unfortunate truth is that the city of San Francisco is actually considering a plan that will allocate 5 MILLION Dollars per black person. San Francisco can't even afford to clean shit (actual shit, human fesses, shit) off of its streets. The City recently hosted some big deal APEC Summit meeting nations from around the GLOBE were in attendance. And  the city had actually taken the time and expence to map out where the shit (fesses) was located in the city so that clean up crews could go out and clean it up. Map it out? San Francisco recently, I say recently it took some many years to make this happen, built a public restroom. The city spent 1.7 Million Dollars on a 150 square foot public restroom. Permits to get permits and one environmental and I assume utility impact study after another. Un-fucking-believable! I used to dream of living in San Francisco. Now I cant even dredge up the desire to visit.

While we are talking about suffixes "-phobic" is everywhere. Speak out about any of the LGBTQrstuvwxyz... and you are a "Homo-phobe, a Fat-phobe a Trans-phobe and the list is growing moment by moment it seems. The suffix phobe is used when a person has an irrational fear of what ever you have stapled the suffix to. 

I do not have a fear of rational or otherwise of Gay men, Lesbian women not even in the slightest. I do however have a very serious problem with "Pride Month". There used to be Pride parades and festivals buy now there is an entire month dedicated to Gay Pride. I say Gay pride because I believe that Gay is a blanket term that can be used to cover the whole of the LGBTQrstuvwxyz...crowd. I could be wrong. As much as everything is in a constant state of flux one can never be sure anymore. So no I am, not a Homo-phobe. 

I do not have a fear of Trans individuals. I do however have a very serious issue with trans men insinuating themselves into women's spaces. The most egregious example of this trend is, at least to me, when men self identify as women and weasel their way into women's sports and women's personals spaces. Sports that's pretty simple. If a genetically born male wakes up one day and declares himself to be a female and starts participating in women's sporting events. There has been a TIDAL wave of this happening recently. Everything; swimming, bicycling, weightlifting, virtually any sport that used to be declared a "Woman's" ( by Title 9) event has been infiltrated be trans-men. The most famous example is the Will/Lea Thomas sued his way into the Women's NCAA swimming team in the University of Pennsylvania. He "killed the competition. Crushed every record. Not by fractions of a second either not by portions of a body length Full seconds and Full body lengths. He stole records, titles and most importantly Scholarships. He stole them from deserving young women. 

By personal spaces I mean changing/locker rooms restrooms. Again with the Will Thomas example he is/was a 6'4" fully genitally fully intact male, he was allowed to use the women's locker room. A locker/changing room where in  women are entitled to privacy, safety and dignity. The moment that U Penn NCAA people made the decision to allow Will Thomas to participate on the women's swim team and to allow him to use the woman's locker room they completely stripped the women on the U Penn swim team of all of the privacy, safety and dignity implied by the "Woman's Locker/changing room". And they facilitated the theft of  records, titles and scholarships. I find this morally ethically heinous and atrocious. I would use more vitriolic words here but it's late and I can't dredge them up right now.

This sort of "DEI" is creeping all across the country and world. The alter of inclusion is blood stained in "Gyms" all across the country. Planet Fitness has "Bent the knee" to this alter. They allow any male self identifying as female to use the women's locker room. YMCA gyms have also bent their knee. Fast food restaurant's city parks are experiencing issues with men using the women's restrooms.

Obama "Political alert"

I mentioned some time ago that I don't like Obama very much. I will start enumerating the reasons...

Recently he made the suggestion that soldiers in our army pay for war injuries them selves or with their own insurance. IS he for real? What insurance company is going to insure a soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan? Heck even in Texas where that Muslim nutcase shot up the place and 13 soldiers DIED.

Many people knew about him and his leanings but they were too "tolerant" to say any thing. Can call him out because he is a minority and a muslim and that is racism and religious intolerance and we will not stand for that here in America. We will let people die first... but I digress.

Obama wants soldiers to pay for their war injuries them selves but he will, by hook or by crook, cram a new National Medical Health Care Plan down the rest of the countries throat.

Here I am again

     Hi there and hello.

 

    So here I am again. I have several ideas that I need/want to flesh out completely.

    Some of these ideas are regarding the impending total collapse of society. Society, not just the American society but the global society. There are so many wolves clawing and howling at the doors. I guess I will try to list them here not just for anybody who stumbles upon this raggedy old mans thought cave.

        "Trans" as it has come to be understood to me is a mental delusion, dis-order, dis-morphia. Just a Anorexia is an eating disorder where in the anorexic individual's mental self image is not in line with individual's true image or shape. The anorexic's imagined or perceived weight is grossly high relative to their true weight. This idea is the same for the trans individual. The trans individuals bodily image is not in line with their bodily genetic, genital confirmation.

        I know that this page will need to be edited down, a lot. At the time (start time 5:15 am) of this writing iteration I don't really have the ideas all laid out in any discernible outline format or even the totality of the thoughts I need to clarify for my own self.

         (1)    The trans issue and all that this implies. The issue is much like a hydra.

            (A)    The notion of trans persons crossing into women's spaces.

                (a)    Women's locker and changing rooms at work out gyms.

                (b)    Women's sporting events.

        (2)    Trans persons in the military.

                (A)    Trans persons vs heteronormitive individuals with relation to PTSD and post service treatment.  

        (3)    Trans in elementary schools.

            (A)    "We're here We're Queer and We're here for your kids" 

                (1)    Drag queen story hour.

                (2)    Discussion of sexual ideas in elementary school classes. "What do you want to be when you grow up Johnny?" has suddenly gone from occupational, vocational question to a completely open ended question. A question that is left completely open to absolutely everything. If Johnny wants to identify as a dust mote or a cat everybody is suddenly compelled to accept Johnny's delusional assertion. This has been carried to ridiculous extremes in some grade schools. Some schools are actually putting  Litter boxes  in the school bathrooms for those children identifying as animals of one sort or another.

As you have no doubt heard there is an election coming up, again.

I am just not sure how to vote.
If i vote for the corrupt incumbents we get screwed yet again.
If I vote for the newbies full of idealism and vigor the corrupt incumbents will corrupt them and stonewall their every effort to do any good for "We the people".

And if we did manage to sweep all the incumbents out and replace them with well intention-ed new wave of government screws they would soon be corrupted by the corporate screws looking to maintain the status quo. And it they managed to avoid that trap and did managed to pass positive legislation that would benefit "We the people" activist Judges would shoot it down by saying the tried and true "I find that to be unconstitutional" and out it goes. There should be a damn program called "Constitution Check" like a Spell check that makes sure that you don't waste so darn much time and money writing stupid laws that are simply going to be erased by a single judge no mater how many people vote for the law a single judge can with the stroke of a pen wipe it away. What ever happened to the "Will of the people"? Just one Judge can come along and "Interpret" the constitution his way and make that call and totally disregard the People. And he is not even elected. There is NO recourse for "We the People". That is sort of like the "artists concept" disclaimer.

So if I sound a bit disillusioned I am, very. I think that is what they want, to make it so complicated and disheartening that no one will give a rats ass and they can continue to rape and pillage "We the people".

This year is a watershed year for elections. On one hand we are saddled with a doddering senile old dictator who is well known to be corrupt but is protected by a "cabal" a cadre of powerful, influential intractable, greed driven, warmongering, cant say no to any crazy idea that pops its head up from the cesspool of society that is America today. His closest adviser is his son. A former crack smoking drug-addicted weirdo. 

Here's a joke...  If there are six lines of equal length, how high will Hunter be after he returns from the bathroom? 

This doddering old dictator excuse me doddering old pants shitting dictator. Shitting his pants at the Vatican. Are you SHITTING me? It boggles the mind as to who among us can keep making excuse after excuse for these failings in a WORLD leader. His total and absolute lack of ability to string together a sentence during a press conference, an interview or a debate gives me pause to wonder just how badly he is representing AMERICA, arguably the most powerful nation on the planet, behind closed doors. It also begs the question, who is propping up his decisions? Who is making "his" decisions? Who is making the decisions that are behind his press conferences? Who are the puppet masters? And, finally, it begs the question when he does appear  to be sentient, lucid, awake, aware of his surroundings, sensible, well considered, ALL the things a World Leader should exhibit, during the occasional spasm of lucidity, just how much of the Adrenaline, Epinephrine, Nor-epinephrine, Meth Amphetamine, Adderall and Ritalin cocktail do his handlers have to dose him with? His blood "cocktail" percentage must be about 50/50. and this likely explains why he has to be forcibly led off stage when after his surge of lucidity brought about by this "cocktail" wares off and his mind crashes. It causes me to wonder who's cocaine was found in the White House. And how was that incident made to disappear so quickly and completely? If that was ANY other president the TRUTH would have been found out. and exposed. Even if only to hang the guilt on some junior staffer, who's drug addled past/present would be ficitfied and fabricated so deeply and completely and convincingly that even the staffer would believe in his guilt. (Read; 1984 Rat in a face cage scenario)  It is WAY to coincidental that Hunter, an known addict and wandering the halls of the White House was not Heavily investigated. Blood samples taken, blood toxicity panels performed and those results made public.

It boggles my mind just how much power the Obamas and the Clinton's still hold in the oval office. I recently heard that Hillary talks on the phone to the white House DAILY.

What was the phrase made famous by "Deep Throat" in the now long forgotten Woodward and Bernstein's outing of President Nixon. "Follow the Money". Where ever there is money there is power and where there is power there is corruption.

"If I were the Devil": A Warning to America From Paul Harvey.

 

“If I were the devil … If I were the Prince of Darkness, I’d want to engulf the whole world in darkness. And I’d have a third of its real estate, and four-fifths of its population, but I wouldn’t be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree — Thee. So I’d set about however necessary to take over the United States. I’d subvert the churches first — I’d begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: ‘Do as you please.

To the young, I would whisper that ‘The Bible is a myth.’ I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what’s bad is good, and what’s good is ‘square.’ And the old, I would teach to pray, after me, ‘Our Father, which art in Washington…

And then I’d get organized. I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting, so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I’d threaten TV with dirtier movies and vice versa. I’d pedal narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. I’d tranquilize the rest with pills.

If I were the devil I’d soon have families at war with themselves, churches at war with themselves, and nations at war with themselves; until each in its turn was consumed. And with promises of higher ratings I’d have mesmerizing media fanning the flames. If I were the devil I would encourage schools to refine young intellects, but neglect to discipline emotions — just let those run wild, until before you knew it, you’d have to have drug sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every schoolhouse door.

Within a decade I’d have prisons overflowing, I’d have judges promoting pornography — soon I could evict God from the courthouse, then from the schoolhouse, and then from the houses of Congress. And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls, and church money. If I were the devil I’d make the symbols of Easter an egg and the symbol of Christmas a bottle.

If I were the devil I’d take from those who have, and give to those who want until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious.

And what do you bet I could get whole states to promote gambling as the way to get rich? I would caution against extremes and hard work in Patriotism, in moral conduct. I would convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging is more fun, that what you see on the TV is the way to be. And thus, I could undress you in public, and I could lure you into bed with diseases for which there is no cure. In other words, if I were the devil I’d just keep right on doing what he’s doing.”
